Size Guide

Every product page carries its own measurement table. This page explains how to read it, and how to measure yourself accurately.

How to measure

Use a soft tape measure, keep it level and snug but not tight, and measure over underwear rather than clothing. It helps to have someone else take the reading.

  • Bust — around the fullest part of your chest, tape level under the arms.
  • Underbust — directly beneath the bust, where a bra band sits. Used for sports bras.
  • Natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
  • Hip — around the fullest part of your seat, feet together.
  • Inseam — from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the ankle.

Our size systems

Nova West garments come from several factory blocks, so more than one size system runs across the range. Compare measurements rather than letters or numbers.

  • Numeric (4, 6, 8, 10, 12) — performance and yoga styles: leggings, yoga pants, tank tops, tennis skirts and some bras.
  • Alpha (2XS–XL) — women's colour-block and topstitched styles.
  • Alpha (XS–3XL) — unisex tees, sweats, shorts and outerwear.
  • One size — accessories such as socks and drinkware.

Choosing between two sizes

Fit intent differs by category, so the rule changes with what you are buying.

  • Leggings, bike shorts, sports bras — designed to sit close. If you fall between sizes, take the smaller one for a compressive fit or the larger one for a relaxed one.
  • Tees, polos, tanks — take your usual size for a regular fit. Styles described as bodycon or slim run closer to the body; oversized styles run deliberately wide.
  • Sweats, track jackets, baseball jackets — cut loose already. Take your usual size unless you want extra room.
  • Skirts and dresses — go by waist and hip rather than dress size.

A note on made-to-order fit

Our pieces are produced individually rather than pulled from stock. Measurements are taken flat and can vary by roughly a centimetre between production runs. If a garment arrives outside its stated measurements, contact us at pppfit@yahoo.com.

Still unsure? Message us with your measurements and what you are looking at, and we will tell you which size we would send.
